  3. Fill in all required personal details carefully: name, age, address, Aadhaar number, bank account details, and voter ID information.
  4. Attach self-attested photocopies of all required documents (Aadhaar, Voter ID, bank passbook, and SC certificate if applicable).
  5. Submit the completed form at the same centre. The facilitator or Mahila Satkar Sakhi present will assist you and provide a confirmation receipt.

📌  The government has deployed dedicated ‘Mahila Satkar Sakhis’ in every village and ward to assist women with registration. Over 26,000 registration centres are operational across Punjab.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

These are the most frequent errors that lead to rejection or reduced benefits:

  • Selecting ‘General’ category instead of ‘SC’ during registration — SC women will miss out on ₹500/month extra benefit.
  • Not linking Aadhaar to bank account before registration — DBT payments will fail without this.
  • Name mismatch between Aadhaar and Voter ID — spellings must match exactly across all documents.
  • Using an inactive or dormant bank account — always use an account with recent transactions.
  • Submitting an incomplete form — all fields must be filled and all documents attached.
  • Checking NPCI mapping — ensure your bank account is mapped on NPCI for DBT to work.
  • Applying if you are a government employee or income tax payer — applications will be rejected.

Important DBT Instructions

  • Ensure your Aadhaar is linked with your bank account before visiting the registration centre.
  • Use an active bank account with recent transaction history.
  • Verify your bank account is enabled for DBT / NPCI mapping.
  • Ensure the name on your Aadhaar and bank passbook matches exactly.
  • Keep your active mobile number linked with your Aadhaar.
  • Most accounts at Punjab National Bank, SBI, and Punjab & Sind Bank already have DBT enabled.

Helpful Tips for Applicants

  • Carry original documents along with self-attested photocopies when visiting the centre.
  • Do not submit duplicate applications — one application per eligible woman.
  • Multiple eligible women from the same family may apply separately.
  • Registration camps are being conducted across Punjab, especially in rural areas.
  • Bookmark the official Punjab Government portal and check regularly for online portal updates.

What if I registered in Phase 2 (after May 15)?

You will still receive the full benefit from 1 April 2026 as the scheme pays with retrospective effect. You will receive arrears for the months missed once your registration is processed and approved.
